Skip the lines at Georgia Aquarium

How long are the queues at Georgia Aquarium?

Georgia Aquarium is one of the most popular aquariums in the world, welcoming 2.5 to 3 million guests per year. The waiting time in ticketing lines during peak season can cross an hour. Without a pre-booked ticket, you will have to wait at the ticketing counter, followed by a security check to enter the aquarium.

The Georgia Aquarium skip-the-line ticket puts you directly at the security check and fast-tracks your entry to the aquarium so you can begin your day of exploration as early as possible.

• Peak hours: 12pm to 3pm

• Peak season: June to August, December

Quick overview: How to skip the lines at Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium draws millions of visitors a year, so lines build fast. On busy weekends and school holidays, ticket counters can see 45–60 minute waits around 12–3 pm, while the separate security check typically adds another 5–10 minutes for everyone. Pre-booked tickets mainly help you skip the ticket-purchase queue and lock in a timeslot; nothing skips security.

• Timed online general admission (From $47–68): Buy dated, timed tickets in advance and bypass the box office line, heading straight to security. Dynamic pricing means cheaper weekday and off-peak slots; prime times and holidays sell out first, especially mornings.

• Combo tickets and city passes (From $99): Atlanta CityPASS-type products bundle Georgia Aquarium with 3–4 other attractions and include Anytime or timed general admission. You still pass through security, but you avoid separate ticket queues at each site and usually save versus buying single tickets.
